How to fix Windows crashes
Here are some simple steps to help you fix a mac hard drive not showing up in Windows.
Even regular OS X can easily read disks formatted inWindows, the opposite is not yet true, especially in Windows 10. Of course, OS X cannot write to a disk configured on a Windows system, but at least it can easily read the contents of each disk and copy data to support your Mac computer.< /p>
Windows simply doesn’t support the Mac Hard Drive File Format (HFS+). This means that when you connect a scheduled Mac drive to Windows, you only see an empty drive letter and some message asking you to format your hard drive.
If you click the “Cancel” button, you will get another message that the volume is irrelevant and does not contain a recognizable file system.
Can Mac hard drive be read on PC?
While families can physically connect a fragile Mac drive to a Windows PC, a particular PC won’t be able to read the drive until third-party software is installed. Because your two systems use different file drives for storage: Macs use HFS, HFS+, or HFSX file systems, while PCs use FAT32 or NTFS.
I’ve already written about how, if your external USB drive is not recognized by Windows, you may need to use the exFAT file assembly, which is supported by Windows and Mac. However, this requires formatting on the fly and copying all data to the background.
How can I read a Mac hard drive on Windows?
To use HFSExplorer, connect your formatted Mac drive to your Windows PC and launch HFSExplorer. Click on the “File” menu and select “Load file system from device”. The connected drive is automatically recognized and you mount it. In each graphics window, you see the data from the HFS+ drive.
Another solution is to enable manual sharing of recordings on Mac and service files from Windows in this way. Unfortunately, this requires a lot of decent customization tricks. So, are there other options? Fortunately, yes. If you’re going to be using your Macs and PCs a lot during installation, it might be worth spending some money on a dedicated program called MacDrive.
MacDrive is a great tutorial to use Mac-formatted drives on a Windows PC like regular drives. You can use a special program to read and compile data on HFS+ drives, such as a normally formatted Windows drive.
You have the option to disconnect the drive from Windows, connect it to your Mac, and access everything as usual. If you find that youIf you have to copy data between Mac and PC, this program will be a great functional investment.

Of course, you can try the program with a special 5-day free trial. Once you are able to install it, you will need to restart your Windows PC. Once you log back into Windows, everything should be fine automatically. If you plug a heavily formatted Mac hard drive into your computer, it will immediately show up in File Explorer with a small Apple icon above it.
Double clicking on our own drive will open it, a normal Windows drive. If there is a file for Mac, a vendor icon will also appear next to it.
