The software in this product is licensed to you by Belkin and Belkin’s suppliers, if applicable. “Software” means all software and related files provided in connection with the Product and the Firmware; all and most of the programs, applications or “Apps” or related files provided to you in connection with the Product; all modified versions of all and updates or enhancements to certain programs (such as those made available through Web Updates), all later versions attached to such programs, and all copies of all such programs and files. Program executionsThe software does not include open source code (as defined below).
By “you” we mean the purchaser, other recipient or end-user of the product incorporating this software, or the purchaser, participant or end-user of the software on an individual basis. “You” also likely refers to someone who has already downloaded the Software from a legitimate website such as http://www.belkin.com or from an authorized app store or marketplace such as the Apple App Store or Google Play (each such publicly available application or store is referred to in this Agreement as “App Store” and collectively as “App Stores”).
1. LICENSE GRANT. Belkin hereby grants an individual the right to use: (i) your product, which is not a Small and Medium Business or SMB trademark, for personal, non-commercial use; pro (ii) if your product is of the “SMB or SMB” type for personal or commercial use; illegal Copies of the software in object system form on devices that you personally own (or, in the case of all firmware, copying the firmware using object code form on only some firmware-related products). Subject to this license, you may also (A) use the software exactly as described in the user documentation for the software; (B) if the Software is made available to a person for download directly onto a personal computer or mobile application, make as many copies of each of our Software as you reasonably need for your own use (this no longer includes firmware); and (C) irrevocably transfer all of its rights to integrate the Product (including but not limited to the Software) to another person, provided that such person also agrees to be bound by all of the terms of this Agreement, and upon such transfer, Customers cease to use the Product and any Software.

2. LICENSE RESTRICTIONS. The software is generally licensed to you, not sold. You have a non-exclusive right to use the Software only in accordance with this Agreement. It is unlikely that you will be permitted to (i) modify, adapt, or otherwise create works from the Software, a product incorporating the Software, or a User Certification (unless the applicable open source license process permits), you must obtain Belkin’s Prior Written Consent to make such changes: (ii) renting, sublicensing, reselling, leasing, lending, redistributing, otherwise transferring (except as expressly permitted above), whether for commercial or other purposes; (iii) reverse engineer, disassemble, decipher and decompile the specific Product or Software, or otherwise attempt to convert the Software into human-readableDocument, except and only to the extent such activity is permitted by applicable law or if Belkin needs to license such entity under the terms of the target open source license; (iv) remove or otherwise alter any copyright, trademark or similar proprietary rights notices contained in the Software or user documentation; (v) use any particular product, software or user documentation to develop a competing hardware and/or service product or otherwise on any model not specified in this Agreement or user documentation; (vi) if the Software is firmware, copy all of the firmware (except one backup copy for archival purposes only), use it in a multi-user system, or maintain it separately from the product in which it is integrated; (vii) include the Program Transfer Softwarex germs or other harmful computer code, formats or programs, or to circumvent, eliminate or otherwise interfere with the security-related operation of the Software; (viii) use any software to collect or harvest personally identifiable information of any third party, to assist in sending unauthorized commercial communications, or to violate the privacy rights of any third party; or (ix) use the Software for any unlawful purpose and/or present it in a manner that violates this type of Agreement. All rights not expressly granted to you by Belkin under this Agreement are reserved by Belkin.
